Built for extreme holding power, this Neodymium Pot Magnet with M8 Male Thread is one of the strongest options in its class, ideal for heavy-duty industrial and commercial applications. With a 60mm diameter and 40mm total height, this large-format pot magnet is designed to deliver maximum performance where a secure, high-load magnetic hold is essential.

At its core sits a D48mm x 3mm neodymium magnet, encased within a robust steel housing. This casing not only protects the magnet from damage but also focuses the magnetic field onto the working face, significantly increasing holding efficiency. The result is an impressive pull force of up to 113kg, making it suitable for the most demanding mounting, clamping, and securing tasks.

The integrated M8 male thread with a 25mm external boss (thread length) allows for quick and secure installation into threaded fixtures, brackets, or assemblies, providing a reliable and reusable fastening solution across a wide range of applications.

Why Choose a Male Thread Pot Magnet?

Male threaded pot magnets provide a strong, secure, and easy-to-install mounting solution, allowing direct integration into threaded holes or compatible fittings. The steel pot design enhances durability while amplifying and directing the magnetic force to the contact surface for superior holding performance.

Important Notes

Pull force is measured under ideal conditions (direct contact with thick, flat mild steel). Actual performance may vary depending on surface conditions, coatings, and alignment.

For vertical or overhead applications, effective holding force will be reduced due to gravity and surface friction.

Neodymium magnets are brittle and should be handled carefully to avoid chipping or cracking.

Delivering maximum strength, durability, and reliability, this 60mm M8 male thread pot magnet is the ultimate solution for high-load magnetic applications where performance cannot be compromised.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Range and Tolerance

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. We specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
