Frenergy Magnets prides itself on having an extensive range of magnets and magnetic tools and equipment. We keep all our products in stock in our Sydney warehouse to ensure we can provide our customers with their orders as soon as possible. All our magnets are available for purchase online and we ship orders daily to get them to your door fast. We know finding the exact magnet for your specifications can be difficult so we have created categories on our website to help. Products are listed in a range of categories including the type of magnet and the shape of magnet. We have also grouped magnets by strength and the following magnets have a magnetic pull force of 1 to 3 kilograms.

Choose the magnetic strength

Choosing the right magnetic strength is key to ensuring you have the right magnet for your application. In this category we have grouped together magnets with a ‘pull force’ between 1 and 3 kilograms. The pull force of a magnet is calculated in kilograms and all magnets are listed on our website with a pull force which indicates their magnetic power. The term pull force is the greatest holding power that particular shape, dimensions and grade of magnet is able to achieve.
The industry standard is for the magnetic strength to be listed as the kilograms the magnet can hold when directly adhered to 10mm thick steel. To achieve full saturation of the magnetic field it is important for this thickness of steel to be 10mm. Thinner steel will result in less magnetic adhesion and the holding power of the magnet will be lower.
Other factors affect the strength of the magnetic hold that is able to be achieved. If you are adhering your magnet to a vertical surface or there is a layer such as paint over the steel then these factors will diminish the magnetic hold achieved. These are just some of the aspects we advise our customers to take into consideration when choosing their magnets online. Our customer service team is always happy to assist if you have any questions. You may also find answers to common questions in our FAQ page.

Choose your shape

Rings, Discs, Blocks, Spheres and Cylinders - Neodymium magnets come in all shapes and sizes. Discs magnets are commonly used for holding and securing as their thin profile and wide surface enable a secure and enduring hold to be achieved. Rod magnets or cylinder magnets are frequently used in machinery as a means of ensuring precise movement of parts. The magnetic field generated through the opposing faces of the cylinder is deep and more intense than magnets of a thinner and broader aspect.
In addition to the range of magnets we sell we also hold stock of popular magnetic tools such as lifters, pot magnets, magnetic sweepers and many more. We have everything you need for your warehouse or workshop available in our online store.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel vertically. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel)  are generally able to hold around 30% of the pull force listed due to the effects of gravity and the lack of traction between the surface and the shiny magnet.
