Magnetic P-Clips

Powerful Neodymium magnets with P-clip clamps. Attach these clips to any metallic surface to keep important tools and equipment away from the floor where they can pose a trip hazard or create an electrical danger.

The protective rubber-lined loop prevents damage to wires and cables and also insulates from electrical currents and vibration. The magnetic base incorporates a Pot magnet that is designed to hold or suspend your equipment and can hold weights up to 68kg. It contains a 42mm wide Neodymium disc magnet with increased strength that is created by the metal cover.

These magnetic clips improve safety for workers and protect equipment from damage in and around worksites, mines, construction sites and warehouses.

FAQ

What Is A Magnetic P-Clip?
Our magnetic P-Clips are useful, hardworking magnetic devices that may not look pretty, but can make a big difference when you're working on those awkward or difficult jobs. These clips are designed to secure cables, wires or tubing using a magnetic base, making them easy to attach and detach. In fact, there are literally endless uses for these versatile magnetic P-Clips, from securing loose cables, hoses and tubing to hanging pot plants, tools, hats, keys, lights, paintings and displays.
What Are Magnetic P-Clips Made From?
Our magnetic P-Clips are made from the highest quality materials - EPDM rubber, W1 carbon steel and powerful Neodymium magnets. The magnetic P-Clip is a clever design, with a rubber-lined hose clamp and a magnet holder. The EPDM rubber cushion absorbs vibrations and protects the objects held within the clamp. The W1 carbon steel band is made from quality materials and each bolt hole is reinforced to provide extra strength and durability.
What Are Some Uses For Magnetic P-Clips?
There are endless uses for these versatile magnetic P-Clips, and our customers have found them useful for holding all sorts of tubing, wiring and cables. Their magnetic quality means they can easily be adjusted or moved. These practical magnetic holders can be attached on either a horizontal or vertical position. Magnetic P-clips are versatile tools used by tradespeople for various applications. Electricians use them to secure and organise cables and wires, making installations cleaner and reducing the risk of tangled or damaged wires. Magnetic P-Clips are especially useful in situations where drilling holes is not desirable or possible, such as on finished surfaces or for temporary work setups. In the automotive industry and mechanical workshops, mechanics use magnetic P-clips to manage wiring harnesses and hoses within engine bays or along the body of the vehicle, which means components are kept in place without permanent modifications. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning technicians installing or repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems also depend on these magnetic P-Clips. They use them to hold refrigerant lines and electrical cables securely to metal surfaces during installations and maintenance, which makes the job of adjusting, repairing and maintaining these components much easier. In the construction industry, these magnetic P-Clips help keep power tool cords and extension leads organised and safely out of the way on steel framework, improving safety and efficiency on job sites. One recent customer was looking for a simple and cost-effective way of controlling the loose cables hanging under hospital beds. Cables lying on the floor presented a real safety hazard and were getting tangled and displaced. The magnetic P-Clips provided a safe, easy and removable way of dealing with the problem. Magnetic P-Clips, magnetic holders and hooks are a fantastic way to attach to metal surfaces, are non-marking and design for easy removal. No screws, nails or drills are needed, making magnetic P-Clips deal for hanging pot plants, tools, hats, keys, lights, paintings and all sorts of displays in all sorts of settings, from domestic to commercial, retail and industrial.
How Strong Are Magnetic P-Clips?
That depends on the surface you are attaching the P-Clip onto, and the weight of the object you want to suspend. The theoretical holding force of the magnet described is for horizontal holding based on a minimum 3mm thick steel surface. A magnet's rated holding force is measured when contacted directly against mild steel 3mm thick or greater. If you position the magnet to the vertical, you should divide the holding force amount by 3. This is due to the influences of gravity and reduced friction. There are also some factors to consider when choosing your magnetic P-Clips for those tricky tasks. The magnetic strength of your P-Clip will be weaker if the item you are attaching to is alloy, stainless steel, Colourbond steel, painted, oily, rusty or bumpy. Also, if the ferrous item you're attaching to is thin, such as foil or sheet metal, the magnet will also be weaker. If there is another material, such as fabric, in between the magnets and the surface you're bonding to, the pull strength will be further reduced.
What Industries Use Pot Magnets With P-Clips?
Pot magnets with P-clips are used in a variety of practical applications across different trades due to their strong holding capabilities and convenience. They provide excellent cable management in electrical work. Pot magnets with P-clips are employed to organise and secure cables and wires along metal surfaces. This helps maintain a tidy work area and prevents cables from becoming tangled or damaged. In construction and renovation projects, these magnets are useful for temporarily mounting cables, lights, or tools to metal structures without causing damage. This is particularly beneficial for tasks requiring frequent repositioning. Mechanics use pot magnets with P-clips to hold wiring harnesses, hoses, and other components in place during repairs or modifications. This keeps the workspace organised and components accessible. Air conditioning and refrigeration technicians use these magnets to secure refrigerant lines, electrical cables, and ducts to metal surfaces during installations and maintenance. This simplifies the process and allows for easy adjustments. For temporary setups, such as exhibitions or trade shows, pot magnets with P-clips can hold signage, banners, or decorative elements securely to metal surfaces, allowing for quick and damage-free assembly and removal. In workshops, these magnets help keep tool cords, air hoses and other cables organised and off the floor, reducing tripping hazards and making the workspace safer and more efficient. At home or in office settings, pot magnets with P-clips can be used to manage cables for computers and electronic devices, keeping workspaces clutter-free and organised. Pot magnets with P-clips are a versatile and reusable solution for securing and organising all sorts of items in environments where drilling or permanent fixing is problematic.
