This Rare Earth Female Threaded Pot Magnet has a diameter of 30mm, a total height of 16mm, and an 1/4" UNF half-internal female thread. This pot magnet has a pull force of 30 kilograms. It is identified by part number 93614.

This magnet features a ¼”-28 UNF threaded hole with a depth of 10mm, designed for compatibility with imperial fasteners. Due to the fine imperial thread specification, standard M6 screws are not suitable for use. For proper fitment and optimal performance, a ¼-28 UNF bolt must be used instead of an M6 fastener.

Uses for our Female Thread Neodymium Pots with Stainless Steel Coating:

The anti-corrosive properties of the stainless steel coating further increase the versatility of this powerful Neodymium Holding magnet. Stainless steel, unlike most metallic materials, does not oxidise and rust, so for outdoor applications or where the magnet is affected by the weather, moisture or corrosive elements, this style of magnet is ideal.

Stainless steel is made from chromium-based alloys which are also non-magnetic, so this magnet is a highly effective holding device with the magnetic field at the base being North in orientation. The threaded hole in the casing can accommodate a hook or eyelet attachment which, when fitted, makes this Pot magnet one of the most practical magnets available. Stainless steel surfaces do not promote the development of bacteria and are not easily corroded or contaminated. This helps to satisfy hygiene and health and safety requirements that are commonly enforced in food preparation and medical environments or anywhere sterilisation is extremely important.

Composed of chromium-based alloys, stainless steel is non-magnetic, ensuring this magnet functions as an efficient holding tool with its magnetic field oriented northward at the base.

The threaded hole in the casing allows for the attachment of a hook or eyelet, enhancing the practicality of this pot magnet. Additionally, the stainless steel surface resists bacterial growth and is highly resistant to corrosion and contamination.

This helps to satisfy hygiene and health and safety requirements that are commonly enforced in food preparation and medical environments or anywhere sterilisation is extremely important.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Range and Tolerance

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. We specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
