Order before 1pm to qualify for same day dispatch.
This nickel-coated Neodymium block magnet weighs 250 grams and has a pull force of 15.43kg. Gauss 1072, Grade N35. It is 50mm in width and length and 5mm in height. Its direction of magnetization is through height.
This Neodymium block magnet is big, strong and dependable, with an impressive pull force of 15.43kg. Because Rare Earth magnets have an amazing power to weight ratio, this magnet is still deceptively light, weighing just 250 grams. It's all in the dimensions of this Neodymium block magnet, which has a 50mm square pole face but a relatively low height measurement of only 5mm. Put all those statistics together and you have one of our best-sellers, a powerful, reliable and versatile Neodymium magnet that can do some serious heavy lifting.
The magnetic material inside this silver nickel-coating is N35 Grade which is at the lower end of the Neodymium grade scale, but these strong Rare Earth block magnets with symmetrical pole dimensions project a consistent and uniform magnetic field, which compensates for the lower grade magnetic material. In specific applications, this magnet is just the one you need – square Neodymium magnets are vital for the accurate operation of modern devices like sensors, gauges, metal detectors, microphones, and speakers are important components in many scientific and industrial processing tools. This extremely strong Neodymium block has heavy-duty permanent magnetic power.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Range and Tolerance

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
