The Neodymium Disc Magnet 30mm x 10mm | N45H is a premium rare earth permanent magnet designed for applications that require exceptional magnetic strength while operating in elevated temperatures. Measuring 30mm in diameter and 10mm thick, this magnet is manufactured from N45H-grade NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron), offering a higher magnetic energy product than standard N35 or N38 grades while maintaining reliable performance at temperatures of up to 120°C.

Unlike standard neodymium magnets, which can begin to lose magnetic strength when exposed to higher temperatures, N45H high-temperature magnets are specifically engineered for demanding environments where heat resistance is critical. This disc magnet is axially magnetised, meaning the magnetic poles are located on the two flat 30mm diameter faces, providing maximum holding force when used against a ferrous steel surface or paired with another magnet.

This is a high-strength rare earth magnet and should be handled with care. The powerful magnetic force can cause serious pinch injuries or damage if magnets snap together unexpectedly.

Holding force is measured under ideal conditions using a clean, flat, thick mild steel surface with full face-to-face contact. Actual holding performance will vary depending on the steel thickness, air gap, mounting arrangement, and operating environment.

Although this magnet is rated for continuous operation at temperatures up to 120°C, exceeding this temperature may result in permanent loss of magnetic strength. Keep away from children, pacemakers, implanted medical devices, sensitive electronic equipment, and magnetic storage media. Avoid drilling, machining, welding near, or subjecting the magnet to heavy impacts, as the neodymium material is hard but brittle and may chip or crack if mishandled.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
