Neodymium Disc Magnet – 3mm x 1mm | N35 | Pack of 100

This Pack of 100 Neodymium Disc Magnets measures 3mm in diameter x 1mm thick and is manufactured from premium N35-grade NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) rare earth magnetic material. Despite their miniature size, these compact permanent magnets deliver impressive magnetic strength, making them ideal for electronics, crafts, model making, product assembly, prototyping, and precision engineering applications.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest commercially available permanent magnets, providing significantly greater holding power than ferrite magnets of the same size. Their 3mm x 1mm profile makes them perfect for applications where space is limited but reliable magnetic performance is essential.

Each magnet is axially magnetised, meaning the magnetic poles are located on the two flat 3mm circular faces, providing optimum holding performance when used against a ferrous steel surface or paired with another magnet.

Finished with a durable nickel-copper-nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) coating, these magnets offer excellent resistance to corrosion and everyday wear while maintaining a smooth, polished finish.

Supplied as a pack of 100, they are ideal for production runs, educational projects, manufacturing, and bulk DIY applications where multiple magnets are required.

Why Choose N35 Neodymium Disc Magnets?

N35-grade neodymium magnets provide an excellent balance of magnetic strength, reliability, and affordability. Their miniature size allows them to be incorporated into compact products and assemblies where traditional magnets are too large, while the pack of 100 offers outstanding value for production, prototyping, and repetitive assembly tasks.

Please Note

These magnets are very small and extremely powerful for their size. They present a serious swallowing hazard and must be kept away from children at all times. If more than one magnet is swallowed, serious internal injuries can occur and immediate medical attention is required.

Holding performance is achieved under ideal conditions using a clean, flat steel surface with direct contact. Actual magnetic strength will vary depending on the application, air gap, surface finish, and material being attracted. Keep away from pacemakers, sensitive electronic devices, and magnetic storage media. Avoid exposing the magnets to excessive heat, drilling, machining, or heavy impacts, as this may permanently reduce their magnetic performance or cause them to chip or crack.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Range and Tolerance

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. We specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
