Neodymium Disc Magnet – 3mm x 2.5mm | N45 | Pack of 100pcs
The Neodymium Disc Magnet – 3mm x 2.5mm | N45 | Pack of 100pcs is a bulk pack of 100 miniature rare earth magnets designed for applications requiring reliable magnetic strength within an extremely compact footprint. Manufactured from high-quality N45 grade neodymium iron boron (NdFeB), these small disc magnets provide an excellent strength-to-size ratio for manufacturing, electronics, precision engineering, product development, model making and DIY projects.
Each magnet measures 3mm in diameter and 2.5mm thick, providing a compact but relatively substantial profile for a miniature disc magnet. This makes them suitable for small products and components where installation space is restricted but dependable magnetic attraction is still required.
The magnets are axially magnetised through their 2.5mm thickness, positioning the north and south poles on the two flat 3mm circular faces. This pole orientation provides face-to-face attraction and makes these magnets ideal for miniature magnetic closures, retention, positioning, sensing and custom magnetic assemblies.
Supplied in a convenient pack of 100 pieces, these N45 disc magnets are well suited to production runs, prototypes, repetitive assembly tasks and projects requiring multiple identical miniature magnets.

Why Choose N45 Miniature Neodymium Disc Magnets?
N45 neodymium magnets provide high magnetic energy within a very small volume, making them particularly useful when designers need to maximise magnetic performance without significantly increasing the size or weight of an assembly.
The 3mm x 2.5mm dimensions create a compact disc magnet suitable for insertion into small drilled, moulded or machined recesses. Compared with thinner miniature discs, the 2.5mm thickness provides additional magnetic material while maintaining a tiny overall footprint.
With 100 magnets per pack, this product is a practical option for manufacturers, engineers, designers, workshops and makers requiring a consistent supply of identical miniature magnetic components.

Ideal for Bulk and Production Applications
This 100-pack of 3mm x 2.5mm N45 neodymium disc magnets provides a convenient solution for repetitive production, prototype development and larger projects requiring many small magnetic components.
The compact magnets can be incorporated into appropriately sized cavities and secured using an adhesive compatible with the magnet's protective coating and the surrounding substrate. Avoid force-fitting magnets into undersized holes or recesses, as neodymium material is hard but brittle.
Please Note
These magnets are extremely small and must be kept away from children. Swallowed magnets can attract to each other through internal tissue and cause severe or life-threatening injuries. Seek urgent medical attention if magnet ingestion is suspected.
Care should be taken when separating and installing these miniature magnets. Allowing them to snap together or strike hard surfaces may cause chipping or damage.
Actual magnetic holding performance depends on factors including the mating material, steel thickness, surface condition, contact area, air gap and direction of force. Paint, coatings, adhesive layers and other gaps will reduce effective magnetic strength.
Neodymium magnets are hard but brittle. Do not drill, cut, machine or weld the magnets.
Keep away from pacemakers, medical implants, magnetic storage media and sensitive electronic equipment that may be affected by magnetic fields.

Surface Treatment
The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Range and Tolerance
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. We specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Magnetic Properties
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
