Bonds and attachment points created with the use of these thin, yet powerful Neodymium magnets can be more effective and much more practical than the invasive traditional methods of attachment that often involve nails, pins or mechanical latches. Two magnets, or a magnet and a metal striker on each side of an opening can attract each other in an intuitive way that creates a seamless bond or even an airtight seal. The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel vertically. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around 30% of the pull force listed due to the effects of gravity and the lack of traction between the surface and the shiny magnet.
