Neodymium Pot Magnet – 35mm Diameter | M6 Internal Thread (8.8mm Deep) | 24kg Pull Force

The Neodymium Pot Magnet – 35mm Diameter | M6 Internal Thread (8.8mm Deep) | 24kg Pull Force is a heavy-duty rare earth magnetic mounting solution engineered for industrial, commercial, and engineering applications where a strong, removable fixing point is required. Manufactured using a premium neodymium (NdFeB) magnet housed within a precision-machined steel cup, this pot magnet delivers exceptional holding power while protecting the internal magnet from impact and wear.

Featuring a 35mm diameter, an M6 female (internal) thread with an 8.8mm thread depth, and a maximum pull force of 24kg, this magnetic assembly is ideal for attaching hooks, eye bolts, threaded rods, brackets, handles, fixtures, and custom components. The integrated steel housing concentrates the magnetic field onto the contact face, producing substantially greater holding strength than an equivalent standalone magnet while increasing durability.

Finished with a corrosion-resistant nickel-plated coating, this neodymium pot magnet is suitable for use in workshops, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail displays, automation systems, maintenance applications, and custom engineering projects where reliable magnetic performance is essential.

Whether you're designing magnetic fixtures, hanging equipment, securing machinery accessories, or creating removable mounting systems, the 35mm M6 Internal Thread Pot Magnet offers a compact, reusable, and exceptionally strong magnetic solution.

Why Choose a 35mm M6 Internal Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet?

The 35mm M6 Internal Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet is designed to deliver maximum holding performance in a compact package. The integrated steel cup focuses the magnetic field onto a single contact surface, significantly increasing pull strength while protecting the neodymium magnet from accidental impacts and edge damage.

The M6 female thread with an 8.8mm depth provides a secure attachment point for a wide variety of threaded accessories, making this magnet ideal for modular systems where hooks, brackets, handles, or custom fixtures may need to be installed or replaced quickly. With a 24kg pull force, it provides dependable holding power for demanding industrial, commercial, and workshop environments while remaining easy to remove and reposition when required.

Please Note

The stated 24kg pull force is measured under ideal laboratory conditions using a clean, flat, thick mild steel plate with full magnetic contact and a direct vertical pull. Actual holding performance will vary depending on the thickness and condition of the steel surface, paint or coatings, air gaps, mounting orientation, and the direction of the applied load. Sliding (shear) loads are typically much lower than direct pull loads.

This magnet is designed for use on ferrous (iron-containing) metal surfaces and will not adhere to aluminium, copper, brass, timber, plastic, glass, or most grades of stainless steel.

Keep out of reach of children, as strong magnets present a serious swallowing hazard. Keep away from pacemakers, implanted medical devices, sensitive electronic equipment, and magnetic storage media. Although the steel cup protects the internal neodymium magnet, excessive impact or improper handling may cause internal damage. Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above the recommended operating range or highly corrosive environments to maximise the lifespan and performance of the magnet.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Range and Tolerance

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. We specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
