Designed for demanding environments where both high magnetic strength and elevated temperature resistance are required, this Neodymium Ring Magnet features an 8mm outside diameter (OD), 6.1mm inside diameter (ID), and 3mm height (H). Manufactured from premium N50H-grade NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) rare earth magnetic material, this compact ring magnet combines exceptional magnetic performance with a maximum operating temperature of up to 120°C, making it ideal for industrial, automotive, electronic, and engineering applications.

The large 6.1mm centre hole allows the magnet to be mounted over screws, bolts, shafts, or tubes, making it suitable for precision assemblies, sensors, actuators, magnetic couplings, and compact mounting systems where space is limited.

Unlike standard neodymium magnets, the N50H high-temperature grade is specifically designed to retain its magnetic performance in elevated operating temperatures of up to 120°C, making it an excellent choice for environments where conventional neodymium magnets may lose strength.

The magnet is finished with a durable black epoxy coating, providing enhanced protection against corrosion, moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. This ring magnet is axially magnetised, meaning the magnetic poles are located on the two flat circular faces, providing maximum holding force when used against a ferrous steel surface or paired with another magnet.

Please Note

This is a high-strength rare earth magnet and should be handled carefully to avoid pinch injuries or damage caused by magnets snapping together. Although rated for continuous operation up to 120°C, exceeding this temperature may permanently reduce magnetic performance.

Holding strength is achieved under ideal conditions using a clean, flat, thick ferrous steel surface with direct face-to-face contact. Actual magnetic performance will vary depending on the application, air gap, surface finish, and mounting arrangement.

Keep away from children, pacemakers, implanted medical devices, sensitive electronic equipment, and magnetic storage media. Avoid drilling, machining, or subjecting the magnet to heavy impacts, as this may damage the epoxy coating or cause the magnet to chip or crack.

Surface Treatment

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnetic Properties

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
