Neodymium Block Magnet - 76.2mm x 25.4mm x 12.7mm | N45
Same Day Dispatch
Order before 1pm to qualify for same day dispatch.
This Neodymium block magnet weighs 250g and has a pull force of 42.76 kg. Gauss 6790, Grade N45. It has a width of 25.40mm, length 76.20mm, height 12.70mm. Its direction of magnetization is through height.
This Neodymium block magnet weighs just 250 grams - about the same as your smartphone – but has a mighty pull force of more than 42 kg. In the world of Rare Earth materials, this magnet is a beefy example of the block magnet and able to generate a considerable permanent pull force of reusable energy without wires, batteries, solar panels or propellers – just powerful, steady, reliable magnetic force.
These Rare Earth magnets are densely packed with magnetic material and wrapped in a nickel-plated coating to give them added resilience and resistance to corrosion.
Neodymium magnets have helped transform the technology of our everyday lives, from smartphones and laptops to hybrid and electric vehicle engines, manufacturing processes, signage and displays, door and screen closures to avionics. We've come a long way since the days before Rare Earth material was discovered. No more huge, cumbersome, Ferrite magnets, no more screws, nails or glue. Very strong, permanent Neodymium magnets like these blocks are the future, compatible with modern materials, especially plastics.
Neodymium block magnets are used by plastics fabricators across the world, and it is that compatibility that has led to massive innovation across almost every industry – in the manufacture of tools, toys, displays, decorations, in department store fit outs, shelving, storage, and signage systems, vehicles, vacuums, and vending machines. Magnetic fastening allows these fabrications to be simply dismantled for servicing and cleaning, and just as easily restored.
Neodymium block magnets are also used in the removal of ferrous contaminants, the manufacturing of mining related products, power generators, magnetic cable holders and a variety of general-purpose uses.

Surface Treatment
The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Range and Tolerance
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Magnetic Properties
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
