Although sturdy and durable, these magnetic brooms from Frenergy are lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. The compact size allows the magnetic sweeper to glide between workbenches and around confined areas in industrial sites where metal fabrication or product assembly takes place. Manufacturing, fabrication and assembly can often lead to metal off-cuts or discarded fasteners. This waste can accumulate in a hazardous way that can threaten workplace safety, product quality and overall efficiency. This magnetic sweeper can pick up ferrous material such as swarf that results from metal fabrication as well as many other problematic sharp metals.
These can include nails, staples and screws that may contaminate production or cause punctures in the tyres of transport vehicles or the cars of staff and customers. The device attracts and collects metal waste, offcuts and contaminants with powerful onboard magnets. The collected metallic material can then be released remotely with a simple pull of the release handle. The handle retracts the magnets away from the collected metal allowing it to fall and be captured on a tray or even collected and emptied into a bin for recycling. Contact with sharp, hazardous material by employees is completely avoided.
