Neodymium Disc Magnet 30mm x 12mm N48
Powerful, heavy-duty, and engineered for demanding applications, this Neodymium Disc Magnet measures 30mm in diameter x 12mm in thickness and is manufactured from premium N48-grade rare earth neodymium for exceptional magnetic performance. Its large disc profile and substantial thickness provide impressive holding strength, making it ideal for industrial, engineering, workshop, and fabrication applications.
Finished with a durable NiCuNi nickel coating, this magnet features a smooth polished silver appearance while helping protect against corrosion and wear. Magnetised through the 12mm thickness (axially magnetised), it delivers concentrated magnetic force across the flat circular face for strong and reliable holding performance.
The larger 30mm diameter offers excellent surface contact, making this neodymium disc magnet well suited to magnetic mounting systems, workshop fixtures, machinery applications, magnetic separators, cabinetry, engineering projects, and custom magnetic assemblies. Whether used in manufacturing, prototyping, or advanced DIY projects, this N48 disc magnet provides professional-grade strength and dependable performance.

Please Note
Neodymium magnets are extremely powerful and should be handled carefully. Larger magnets can snap together with considerable force and may cause injury or damage if mishandled. Avoid allowing magnets to collide, as they may chip or crack upon impact. Keep away from children, pacemakers, electronic devices, and magnetic storage media.

Surface Treatment
The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Range and Tolerance
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. We specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Magnetic Properties
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
